An Invitation to Kenya Beaches....and A Way to Enjoy them Without Even Going
Imagine This...Kenya Beaches are a Lush Tropical Paradise Compared to Much of Kenya. Many Trips Start at the beach and some Never end... (This page was Partly inspired by Spirited and Imaginative people... One of them is Scheherazade.)
She is sitting in her special place reading tales from the Arabian Nights
...Scheherazade's life is on the line. The Sultan Schahriar had been Deceived by his wife so... he had his wife put to death and every day he marries a New wife... and then, the next morning he has her put to death. Scheherazade decides she must put an end to this barbarous practice. She has a Plan. She marries him.... Every evening Scheherazade starts spinning a story...a story that's Interesting enough that Sultan Schahriar will Want to hear More of the story the next day. She must entertain, so she enlists her sister to help her and Scheherazade... tells stories... inside stories:
"Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves", "Aladdin's Lamp". She tells of Sinbad's 7 Voyages. Adventures and Arrivals at port cities. Eventually Scheherazade's stories take you to the East Coast of Kenya, the Kenya Beaches, Mombasa and Zanzibar as part of your journey.

It's the Coral Coast of Kenya where the
weather
is Temperate and Breezy and the Water is always Warm:27-35C or 80-95F. Ernest Hemingway went deep sea fishing off Malindi. (Big game fish thrive in these tropical waters at the equator.) You can visit one of Hemingway's favorite national marine parks, Malindi or Watamu north of Mombasa... You'll love snorkeling or scuba diving around the coral reefs. Go North to Lamu Island.
Away from the cities and see the millions of stars above the Indian Ocean. Fly there in a light plane and spend some time on the timeless beaches. Go south of Mombasa to Shimoni. near Tanzania. From Shimoni you can take a boat, usually a dhow, out to Wasini Island and swim or dive around the coral reefs that make up the Kisite-Mpunguti National Marine Park. Stay around Mombasa and Ride a camel. Go Windsurfing, Lose track of time... Venture into some of the smaller towns and villages. Except for the hotels and the tourists. life hasn't changed that much. You can feel the sand between your toes on the whitesand beach at Diani Beach just south of Port Mombasa. Experience a Kenya beach safari: see the monkeys, the lizards, and the birds. Scheherazade gathered her resources, used her imagination... ...she knew what she wanted to accomplish.

From your room on the beach, you can sense the warmth of the waters, smell the gardenias, the oleanders, and hibiscus. From the shade of the palm trees, feel the breeze and smell the salty air... Imagine visiting the old parts of towns, where the native people still weave their cotton and sell their wares. Your Imagination can carry you across the threshold... adventures, exploring, and a New Exciting world are only a step away. So, take a trip to the Beach.
