Why and How to Sponsor a Child in Kenya

Why Sponsor a Child in Kenya?

Meshack was abandoned, sitting beside the road. That is where a government social worker had found little Meshack. His prostitute mom decided that she could make more money in Nairobi or Mombasa so she simply left him by the road and took off to Nairobi...so

When Katie (our daughter) went to Kenya a few years ago there was much talk about the "New Guy in Town". (You've heard the expression.)
Usually that doesn't last very long. The intrigue and newness wear off and we find the "New Guy" is like us: all too human: with faults, limitations, and his own hopes, dreams and ideas.

Maybe it's a little different if the "New Guy" is a 3 year old living in an orphanage in Kenya. So when Katie went to Kenya and met Meshack, He was the "New Guy" at the orphanage then.

Pastor Fred-the administrator of the orphanage at the time-took him in when a government official asked them to care for him.

He had No One.

But he won Katie's heart and she won his.
