Microenterprise Loans, The Nobel Peace Prize and The Slums of Nairobi

Why Microenterprise Loans?

You can be a Banker, Help a Baker, or a Candlestick Maker

nairobi slums

Visit the slum areas of Nairobi...small dwelling made of cardboard, scrap pieces of tin, wood, or, (whatever can be found) to make do.
See what is like on the other side.

To some extent the kenya women: the mothers, the aunts, the grandmothers, the nurses, the caregivers... are heroes. They do the best they know how to do.

Give some money for a meal or sponsor a child. You won't miss it. It is a short term solution... One that may save, a child's life.

A longer term solution is to consider small loans.
These people have hopes and dreams for their future.

There are a couple of organizations you can look to:

The Nobel Peace Prize for 2006 was awarded equally to Grameen Bank and Muhammad Yunas for creating small loans for the poor-Particularly women.

You can also look at Kiva and "be a banker to the poor".

Both of these organizations work in and around Kenya and well beyond.

Do you remember some of your childhood dreams?
Realize some of them. You can do it now. So...

Be a Banker, Help a Baker or a Candlestick Maker.
