Do you have a Heart for Missions? Making A Christian mission trip to Kenya can be a real eye-opener.
When people return from a Christian mission trip they don't talk about how much they blessed the people they served. They talk of how they benefited from going. When our daughter was in school one of her teachers told her that she has a heart for missions. And she does. I have always liked the expression:
"a heart for missions" You have a heart, a talent, for something. What you are passionate about- hopeful for. In missions this can be anything from - going and visiting a widow or a child in their home
- visiting an orphanage
- working on a construction project, or at a food bank
- teaching English or Bible School
- Providing medical care
Five mission teams from Kenya Relief traveled to Kenya in 2008.Some of the trips were medical missions. Some teams worked with education and the local schools. Some went to run a 'Vacation Bible School'... and some individuals went to visit a child they sponsor.

Some Christian mission trips are primarily
medical mission trips.
This could be taking registering patients, working in a pharmacy, giving shots or simply holding a child. There is Tremendous need for medical care in Kenya and there is No comparison between medical care in Kenya and medical care in the U.S. and many European countries There are other ways to help without going on a Christian mission trip to Kenya. You can
sponsor a child
, contribute to a widows fund, or a building project. You can be an enabler by
making a small loan to a Kenyan.
